NATIC Welcomes Kent D. Pelt, Esq. as V.P. and Regional Underwriting Counsel

IRVINE, CALIF., June 28, 2012 – North American Title Insurance Company (NATIC), a leading national title insurance underwriter, is delighted to announce the appointment of Kent D. Pelt, Esq. as a V.P. and Regional Underwriting Counsel for California. As a key member of the NATIC team, he is responsible, along with the other members of the California underwriting team, for developing and implementing NATIC’s California underwriting standards, guidelines and procedures. His primary role includes working with and supporting affiliated and independent NATIC agents with underwriting guidance and risk mitigation in title issues throughout the State.

Prior to joining NATIC, Mr. Pelt was Managing Attorney/Of Counsel, for Keefe Roberts & Associates, a law practice in California that specializes in real estate matters. During his time at the firm, he managed a staff of 4 attorneys and 10 support personnel. Prior to this role, he served for 7 years as Vice President, Title Operations Manager and General Counsel for a leading national title insurance company. There, he worked as underwriting counsel, managed the title production area and participated in settlement negotiations for the claims department. Mr. Pelt spent the first 12 years of his career as Claims Counsel for a variety of companies, including a leading national financial services company and national title insurance company.
