MIAMI – February 11, 2022 – Doma Title Insurance, Inc. (fka North American Title Insurance Company) has appointed Laurie Barrett, a business development and educational training executive with three decades of experience spanning the title, real estate and mortgage industries, as New England agency manager. In this role, Barrett supports and nurtures Doma’s existing independent title agent and attorney customers and will add to the company’s growing network across New England.
Barrett comes to Doma from a large, New England-based title company, where she served as business development manager. In this role, she led the company’s business process improvement efforts; significantly expanded its buyer, seller, real estate agent and lender client base; and developed continuing education classes and productivity training programs. Previously, Barrett owned and operated The Social Bark, a small business-focused provider of marketing and branding services.
Barrett holds a real estate broker license in both Massachusetts and Vermont and is a licensed loan officer in Massachusetts. She is also a licensed real estate instructor in Massachusetts. Although much of Barrett’s career has focused on the title industry, her cross-industry experience includes training director roles at the Arthur Gary School of Real Estate, Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty and First Home Mortgage.
“As we dramatically expand Doma’s sales coverage across the country, we have focused our talent search on experienced sales consultants that can deliver added value to our agents. Laurie meets that standard exceptionally well,” said Glen Stout, regional agency manager for Doma. “She is well-versed in title operations, understands the New England market, and has the training expertise to guide our agents in growing their operations and building their brands. She is a terrific addition to the Doma team.”
Barrett is a graduate of Quincy College with an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. She is certified by Ninja Selling, a sales manager training system, and is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts’ (REBA) Continuing Education Committee.
“Having worked on every side of the real estate transaction, I understand what it takes to create the ultimate agent and customer experience,” Barrett said. “With my background in these varied industries – as well as in training, talent recruitment, company branding, content messaging and public speaking – I will work diligently to collaborate with industry partners on forming mutually beneficial relationships. I look forward to helping our New England partners kickstart their growth as Doma drives increased efficiency and customer satisfaction with our cutting-edge technology.”
Barrett works from a field office in Massachusetts and can be reached by email at laurie.barrett@doma.com, or by telephone at (508) 893-1923.
