MIAMI – October 12, 2022 – Doma Title Insurance, Inc. (fka North American Title Insurance Company) has tapped 25-year industry veteran NolaAnn Waggoner as Vice President, Regional Underwriting Counsel for Texas. Bringing more than two decades of underwriting counsel experience to her role, NolaAnn will provide underwriting guidance and support to Doma title agents across the highly competitive state of Texas.
Waggoner began her career in the title insurance industry as an escrow officer and manager of a title agency in the Gulf Coast region of Texas before deciding to attend law school. After briefly working as a solo practitioner, she returned to the title industry with roles as in-house counsel, claims attorney, and underwriting counsel for one of the nation’s top underwriters. She has held underwriting counsel roles at four other leading underwriters, predominantly in Texas.
“We are excited to have someone with NolaAnn’s title industry pedigree join Doma’s team in Texas,” said Danielle Kaiser, Vice President, Deputy Chief Underwriting Counsel for Doma. “Her years of dedication and service will expand our footprint and enrich our title agent relationships in Texas, one of Doma’s most active and highly regulated states.”
Waggoner graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance before earning her Juris Doctor degree. A member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA), Waggoner has served on various TLTA committees, including the Educational Committee for the TLTA’s Texas Land Title Institute, for most of her career.
“The great thing about title insurance matters in Texas is there is always an opportunity for us to continue learning and growing together,” Waggoner said. “Even with more than 25 years of experience in various facets of the Texas title industry – including managing a title agency and serving as in-house agency counsel, claims counsel, and underwriting counsel – I feel that I still haven’t seen it all. Joining Doma’s Texas underwriting team presents new challenges and ways for me to meet the needs of our agents and their customers.”
Waggoner works from a field office in the Bryan/College Station area and can be reached by email at nolaann.waggoner@doma.com, or by telephone at (832) 948-8160.
