MIAMI – October 8, 2020 – North American Title Insurance Co. (NATIC) has added Mary Santos Schoolmeester as state agency manager to oversee agency operations in Colorado and Utah. Schoolmeester’s deep roots in the Southwest real estate, settlement services and title insurance industries open new opportunities to expand NATIC’s agency network in that area while servicing existing agents. Joining NATIC with 20 plus years of experience in business-to-business roles, Schoolmeester brings a unique blend of customer relationship management, title insurance agency sales, business consulting and recruitment skills to her position.
“Mary knows firsthand how to attract new clients and new talent into a title agency,” said Kevin Fontes, NATIC’s assistant vice president and regional agency manager. “Her previous work with customer relationship management platforms, technology, and recruitment and retention strategies will be an asset for agents looking to grow or enhance their talent programs and customer relations.”
Schoolmeester’s motivation to support title agents is coupled with nearly 15 years of servicing real estate agent, mortgage broker and mortgage banking customers in the Colorado markets. Prior to joining NATIC, she was senior relationship manager at a digital title and escrow company, selling proprietary real estate applications and conducting title insurance training for real estate agents and mortgage lenders in the Denver metropolitan area. Prior to that, she spent seven years as a senior sales executive and licensed title officer at a title agency in Denver, where she also provided customer service and marketing support to clients. Her title agency experience includes another five years managing client accounts and cultivating new relationships for two Colorado-based title companies.
Schoolmeester has held various roles in recruitment consulting firms, including serving as vice president of client relations at dns solutions, where she managed consulting for IT recruitment on a local and national level. Her experience also includes overseeing contract negotiations, managing large accounts and conducting candidate interviews and candidate submittal processes with clients. Schoolmeester earned a bachelor’s degree in arts and science from the University of Colorado and currently serves on the Denver Global Chamber Board of Directors.
“My connections in real estate and business community organizations in the Southwest, along with my varied background, puts me in a unique position to be an all-inclusive resource for clients,” said Schoolmeester. “I look forward to applying my skills on the underwriting side of title insurance and sharing with NATIC agents the demonstrated sales, marketing, operations and recruitment strategies I have organized for immediate implementation.”
