Doma Partners with Local Charity Robyne’s Nest to Support At-Risk and Homeless High School Students

San Francisco, CA – February 16, 2022 – Doma Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: DOMA), a leading force for disruptive change in the real estate industry, today announced a partnership with Robyne’s Nest, an Orange County-based charitable organization that provides local resources, funds and support to at-risk and homeless high school students. As a partner to Robyne’s Nest, Doma’s team will assemble and donate more than 250 student hygiene care packages and present the charity with an additional monetary donation at a Doma company event.

“One of our key Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion pillars at Doma focuses specifically on community impact and Robyne’s Nest’s mission aligns with our goal to support those who are experiencing homelessness and related issues within our shared communities,” said Kristie King, Senior Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Doma. “Robyne’s Nest does incredible work and we are excited about the opportunity for our team to come together to provide much needed resources for these young people who need it the most.”

Robyne’s Nest’s mission is to educate and empower its local teenagers to become stable, productive and contributing citizens of the community. The organization supports students in the Huntington Beach High School District and Newport Mesa High Schools, who are alcohol and drug free and have little to no parental support. Robyne’s Nest provides resources, including housing, to its students so they can complete high school and pursue a path to self-sufficiency through college, trade school, or the military and beyond.

“Many students are struggling when it comes to basic support from their parents for such needs as food, housing, academics, and even safety,” said Robyne Wood, Founder and Director of Robyne’s Nest. “These students want help and that is why they continue to go to school looking for some security, routine, and a place to belong. We’re so grateful for Doma’s partnership.”

This partnership will kick-off at a Doma company event in Dana Point on February 16, where Doma employees will be assembling the care packages and formally presenting a financial donation to Robyne’s Nest.

About Robyne’s Nest

Robyne’s Nest provides resources, funds and support to our at-risk and homeless high school students in the Huntington Beach High School District. The organization was started to help homeless high school students who have been abandoned, kicked out or are just being neglected by their parents/guardians. They also help those students, whose parents are simply unable to provide for them. These students, despite their difficult and unfavorable circumstances, continue to want to go to school. They don’t drop out, turn to drugs or criminal activity. They want to be part of something and to be helped, but don’t know where to find the help without fearing repercussions. The schools are struggling to help these kids stay alive, thrive and finish school as a result of very limited resources. Robyne’s Nest is working to provide resources, funds, and extra manpower to help these students and educators bridge the gaps their lives. Robyne’s Nest believes their students are best supported when they are invested in. For more information visit robynesnest.org.
